Chicago Bulls Team Up with Shopify to Launch NFT series

Our favorite Canadian e-commerce company (that would be Shopify for first-time readers) teamed up with Chicago Bulls to launch NFT series  depicting 6 championship wins from the 1990s.

The partnership is mostly due to Shopify’s world-class website-based storefronts and payments infrastructure, and according to Harley Finkelstein, the Chicago Bulls franchise is one of the company’s first attempts to launch an NFT storefront on the platform.

In its formative stages, the service will be made available to a select few, according to Shopify president Finkelstein, as the company recently  integrated Sweet’s NFT marketplace into its platform, thus allowing Shopify customers to sell and issue NFTs (non fungible tokens) directly through its e-commerce interface.

Sweet supports NFTs issued via Ethereum’s ERC-721 standard, Simple Ledger Protocol’s SLP token standard, and Dapper Labs’ Flow blockchain, and if you know what that means, congrats, you’re a true crypto-bug.

The famous Chicago Bulls NFTs were minted on Flow, and the Bulls Legacy Collection is going to be released over 6 drops, with each token celebrating the team’s 6 iconic championship wins between 1991 and 1998. 

The first “drop” was launched back on July 26th, and it’s already sold out, and the remaining NFTs are scheduled for launch any day now.
