Apparently, Shopify is going full diversity mode, as the e-commerce giant announced recently that is totally committed to supporting more voices in entrepreneurship, or something along these lines.
The thing is, this move on Shopify’s part has everything to do with social justice and moral posturing, since it arrives in the aftermath of various violent acts against Asian Americans, acts described by mainstream media as “violence and racism”, and now the Canadian company tries to show solidarity with the AAPI community.
So, the news for today is that Shopify has added a directory of Asian-owned businesses to its Shop app, though it’s not clear what this has to do with anything.
