We already told you in a previous article about Shopify Rebellion, i.e. Shopify’s Esports team, and today’s news is that the “rebels” have announced a new Rocket League team.
We’re not much into video games, so we won’t pretend we know what the Rocket League is, but we can tell you that Shopify’s Rocket League roster consists of 3 pro-gamers, i.e. Jalen “rapid” Parker, Landon “BeastMode” Konerman, Michael “Memory” Moss – and one coach, “hawpsu”.
Judging from this tweet, Rocket Leagues is a cool car-game of sorts, so yeah, we’re delighted to hear that Shopify is going to make history wrecking cars and what not. It’s worth mentioning that Shopify’s Esports endeavor started with Starcraft 2 a couple months ago, after they hired former Team Liquid coach, Dario “TLO” Wünsch as their manager, as well as Sasha “Scarlett” Hostyn as star player.
Now with a new team competing in Rocket League means that things are going on the up and up for Shopify. The new Shopify crew has a long history in playing professionally against teams like eUnited, Rogue, Envy etc. and, needless to say, they seem to have lots of potential.
